Carlos Martín Tello (Charly) Mountain, Trekking, and Climbing Guide
I am originally from Unquillo, a small town in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. My passion for climbing emerged in my youth, and I decided to specialise in this sport. As a provider of alternative tourism, I focus on high difficulty activities, both in the province of Córdoba and elsewhere. Besides being a climbing instructor, I am also a Mountain and Trekking Guide.
Since 2008 I have been dedicated to Aconcagua, having the opportunity to reach its highest part 15 times by different routes. The first years I dedicated myself to the apprenticeship and my main job as an apprentice was to carry loads to the high altitude camps with some assistance to the summit. I also took part in rescues and extractions at altitude.
Outside the Aconcagua season, I participated in different expeditions and continued with training in Switzerland, with the aim of expanding my skills as a sports coach. My experiences in the mountains include the ascent of the Pequeño Alpamayo by the direct route, Condoriri among others, the south summit of Aconcagua by the guanaco ridge, the day ascent of Aconcagua from Plaza de mulas by the Mendoza guides, 360* false poles, Cerro Cuerno, Cerro Catedral among others. In Europe, I had the opportunity to climb alone the Matterhorn, then the Eiguer and on several occasions the Mont Blanc to complete the alpine trilogy. I am also passionate about continuing my training and improving my communication and technical skills.
